I just bought the STC for Cowl Louvers from the 180/185 Club ($5, woot!). Looking at the diagrams, etc. I can see that this version is the set of square louvers. I know I've seen a bunch of Skywagons with the Shark Gill version of cowl vents, too.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience flying both and if there was a measurable difference in the cooling performance between the two?

Between the two I’ve never noticed a difference in one design cooling better than the other (I know they are different engines) but I think it’s just up to the owner on which one they think looks better.
