I live near Yakima WA, and am getting closer to pulling the trigger on some new avionics for my 182. New audio panel, transponder, comm and gps. I have done my research, picked out what I want and I've...

  • Well..that all sounds perfect for my needs also. I asked Todd Hitchcock Aviation about the 206 fork and he said it requires a field approval which he said is really hard to get these days. Maybe he just wants to sell me an Airglas. Where are you located?

  • Hey BlindPilot...I like your set-up, the stance of the plane and the size of everything. Think I’ll use this on the ‘58 182 I’m getting. What is the fork you’re using? Tire brand and ply rating? Thanks so much. Phil.

BlindPilot Hey Phil, congrats on the new plane! I’m running the heavy duty Cessna nose fork, common on 206’s and 310’s. Mine came off a 310 and was a logbook entry. I’m running flight special 2’s, 6ply tires. 8:00x6 on the mains and 6:00x6 on the nose. I’ve been very happy with the setup for the flying I do. It’s a great step up over stock, but not crazy huge either. Also MUCH less expensive than going with the air glass nosefork.

    Terry.
