  • Bagarre created a new forum topic Cessna Axle Shims
For adjusting camber, Is there a max shim angle allowed? I can't find a source that states this but there has to be a limit after which the stress on the bolt compromises strength. 180 legs on a 170 gives...

  • Bagarre posted a new discussion, Lady legs vs early 180 legs?
So, the '52 I picked up has a set of early 180 legs on her right now. But I have a source for a pair of 170 Lady legs as well. I've read pro's and con's for both routes. The 180 legs are much stiffer which makes for a harder landing but stiff might be good with the extra weight of 210 ponies up...

Nice 170 corral you have there. I recently did a Lycoming IO-360 on mine. Been very pleased with it. I'll be interested to follow your new restoration thread.

Bagarre I'm thinking about selling the one thats flying and getting a twin comanche while I'm restoring the other one. Kind of crazy to have two of the same planes and it'd be nice to go fast for a while.
