Have a bare metal set of 170B wings taken off my 1952 B model.
A great re-buildable set of wings.

Has anyone had the pleasure of needing to ship a set of wings across the country?
I have a set of 170B wings for sale (plug) and I might have a buyer...3,000 miles away.

Beyond the correct wire gauge/type and not even breaker selection.

If you had an aircraft with no existing ELT, what ELT would you put in and why?
Putting in the cheapest 121.5 ELT you can find seems like throwing away money and opportunity to me.

Except I have no idea where to go or what to do and I hear Alaska is a pretty big place.
Any ideas for a not so organized...
I wouldn't say I don't have any aspirations for backcountry flying. I'm just trying to be realistic based on the flying I do now. That and I don't know of any places in the DC area to land out with out being locked up :)
So, the '52 I picked up has a set of early 180 legs on her right now. But I have a source for a pair of 170 Lady legs as well. I've read pro's and con's for both routes. The 180 legs are much stiffer which makes for a harder landing but stiff might be good with the extra weight of 210 ponies up...
