flight control and navigation equipment. I would be interested in how you handle those kinds of doubts or if you multitask well enough that they are not a consideration. My sons grew up on Mario Brothers. Going from known level to unknown level was no sweat for them. Can well trained pilots reasonably fix things in time under extreme pressure? Generally IFR gives quite a bit of time to sort
Tommy, I noticed your post on AV-30. Are you flying IFR with new GPS equipment? The Garmin 430 I think scared me enough to just quit instrument instructing. I had to have the student tell me which button to push next, how long to hold it down, and how many times to punch it...etc. I am just too old for that much confusion. IMC requires the pilot to be completely comfortable with both
On New Years Day, while snowmobiling, I thought I saw an airstrip here about 25 miles SE of Alpine, WY. It was blowing snow and I did not have a chance to investigate. Anyone know anything about this?

Hi,
Not wanting to hijack the G5 thread, and given the proximity to certification of the AV-30, I thought this would be a ripening topic for discussion.

I just received my HUDWAY Cast today and so far I am impressed. This is a projection HUD. Apple quality packaging. Easy setup for wifi and then just AirPlay. Nice and bright today when I tried it in my...
I always wanted a HUD for my aircraft but there are no affordable ones. I bought a few HUDWAYs on Kickstarter about a year ago and while they work well for driving, they don't work well in the air because...
Hi all; I was very happy with an ancient checklist app running on an old iPhone 4s but then it would no longer update so I switched to Apple Notes. This works Ok and has a check off mode and can be pulled...
Hi everyone. I won this product in a raffle so I can make BCP members a very special deal. Retail is $750. Lowest price you will find on eBay is $595. My price is $450; I will pay shipping in continental...
I just bought a cheap ($30 or so) Harbor Freight propane powered large torch aka flame thrower. Quite effective on embedded weeds here in SoCal but it mentions melting ice on the package. Fun, at the very least a. Suggest pointing it away from building as the 3,500 deg F combusts most everything around...
Re "Punch it and let off". I know Jack and he is an real authority. Another plane/situation where this method is also valid is on a low-response glider like the Schweizer 2-33. Otherwise you are hunting before you know what the effect will be...
