Hey guys, I've been researching auto pilots for the FBA- 2c2, bushhawk xp. It looks like there is an STC from Chelton AP - 3c. This was an early 2000 auto pilot that was then sold to S-tec. An Stec 55 received a field approval in one Canadian plane. They are installing stec in the new expedition planes. I continue to email garmin and push for a Gfc 500 as well.
Superdan00I haven't made any auto pilot progress as of now. I have not tried Stec yet. I do have an installation factory diagram but no shop interested. Garmin has yet to reply. I did speak with the FSDO and they had some recommendations but I haven't moved forward. On the other hand, it flys great and is a real pilots plane.
Dan Keller, I'm located in central Nebraska and just moved from an Aviat Husky to a Found Bush Hawk XP. Serial number 103. We've had a blast flying it so far. I love the doors and the views. It's easy to load friends and take them sight seeing or fill a whole tote in the back with camping supplies...
