  • 517G created a new forum topic Floatplane parking lease example?
Is anyone leasing a place to dock or beach their floatplane from a homeowner that can share the agreement they have? Looking for how the contract was drawn up and what was included regarding liability....

  • Thanks for the recommendation. Order the book, it arrived a couple days later and just finished it this evening. Easy read, interesting content and good tips hidden in the text. Heavy stock paper, so should survive years of sharing with friends.

  • My EAA chapter is considering two events in addition to our Dawn patrol this coming year. First a fly-in camping event targeted at families at a private airstrip in St. Charles, MI (complete with bonfire, Smore supplies, massive playscape, zip line and outdoor theatre) and a ski-plane event in Chesaning MI at 50G (hot cocoa, etc.). For my midwest friends, how many feel these would be good events?

PVFR is not just an Alaska phenomenon. Michigan experiences this through most of the winter, a lot in January through March. Overcast on top and snow and haze below. The other risk is suddenly everyone is flying at about the same altitude (2500' MSL is popular here).
