Michael Marco was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, into an aviation family. He began flying with his father at the earliest age possible, and soon graduated to the family de Havilland Beaver on amphibious floats, as well as flying competition aerobatics in their Super Decathlon. During the summer months he flies Beavers and Cessna 185s for Talkeetna Air Taxi, and of course the beloved Pacer for weekend adventures. In the winter months he teaches at the Patty Wagstaff Aerobatic School, in addition to flying a Cessna Citation for the family business.
A summer job as a de Havilland Beaver glacier pilot sounds ideal, but there is just so much to explore in Alaska— An adventuresome pilot needs his own airplane.
