Did you re-set the toe in with the change to the 8.50's? The 8.50's will magnify any alignment errors that was originally in the 6.00 set up. A couple of things to ensure is the configuration of the aircraft when checking the the toe in.
It should be done at the weight you normally land at and only push the aircraft forward onto the greased plates to allow the gear to be in a relaxed position.

Look to the cheap items first and work backwards. Plugs then leads and then mags. A good mag may hide a lead that is breaking down or a spark plug that is not performing to spec. Depending on the age of the Mags it maybe a cheaper option to buy new mags than to overhaul. The A engine is a good...
