Still working on getting my C-175 back in the air, but we're ver-ry close now. Still need some front strut work most likely, but I'm flying her tomorrow. Next question: I know that the FAA expects the original owners manual to be in the aircraft. BUT,practically, how best to establish the REAL v-speeds when there is a Lycoming 180 horsepower engine and a Horton STOL?

ZzzYou're directing this question to me on my feed. I suggest posting in the discussion forum: backcountrypilot.org/…

Thank you David Stoots for the call back and continued support for my newly acquired Cessna 175 with the Avcon Lycoming 180 conversion. Greg also, thank you for emailing the plans. New question: A Horton STOL kit was installed in '01. The electric stall warning does not sound. It hasn't worked since the STOL had been installed. Circuit breaker is ok. What next?? Wiring? Horn?

ZzzI think you'd be better served posting this in the forum instead of your own page. More eyes.
i recently purchased a C-175 (1959) with an Avcon 180 hsp Lycoming conversion. It has not had an annual since 2012. I have tried to contact Bob Williams by phone (I do get the answering machine message) as well as email. No response. All I really need to know is a part # for the missing bracket or clamp or whatever that supports the variable speed prop control cable (Cable on right in photo)
[email protected]Thank you. Greg answered me and ask me to send my email address. Is there a way to send it to him privately? I couldn't find, so I just posted it for all to see. I don't have a problem with that, but I haven't had and email from Greg either.
