Backcountry Pilot

It is looking like we have a decent turnout for this years Red Hills Fly-In. As always it will be a good time with others who share our addiction, good food, great host & hostess, a variety of airplanes, excellent camping and just a lot of fun.

A group of us will be at Lodi (1O3) for breakfast on Saturday morning.  We should be there between 8-9 AM

If you are in the Columbia (O22) area during the weekend, drop in to say hello or stay for the weekend. You won't be sorry. You can demonstrate your skills with a spot landing contest and a water balloon bombing contest. 

The airstrip is in great condition (IMHO) and we have removed the trees at the approach end of Rwy 25. 

Remember that the Pilot in Command assumes the risk of landing and must sign the liability waiver required by the landowner.

The landing zone depicted in this video is not an airport! It is not maintained with aircraft operations in mind. Pilots using this landing zone do so at their own risk with the understanding of potential damage to their aircraft and harm to their health!
