I have been flying my 8gcbc for several hundred hours now. I only have the 36 gallon tanks so it is impossible to overload. Added extended baggage and the baggage door. I have 815 useful lbs 135 lbs can go in the combined baggage area. 216 for fuel leaving 464 for passengers.
Very comfortable and capable plane to fly. Last November flew south from Idaho to San Diego at 14.5k in 12 hours
Brother lives on Whidbey and friends in Moses Lake. Hope to be up in Idaho later this year and then go over to the San Juan Islands and then back down south. Scout isn't a speed demon but it is a comfortable airplane to fly.
Hello, hope to make it up your way later this summer, once things open up and put some hours on the Scout. Currently finishing up with new Avionics and a lot of deferred maintenance and some upgrades, new carbon floor and extended baggage, led strobes, lighter battery up on the firewall and oil filter instead of screen (although the engine apparently loved the screen).
