I recently upgraded the prop on my 182 to a 2-blade MT and consequently will be getting rid of my old C29 (2A36C29-AEG). It was throwing a tiny bit of oil from where the blades meet the hub when it was...
I'm looking for the FAR reference as it pertains to normal category aircraft's interior requirements. I dug around this morning some but couldn't find anything specific. Specifically I want to rip out...
Does anyone know off hand how much vertical clearance the early model 180/182's have in the center stack for radios without doing the control column modification?
Other than resale appeal and ease...
I am getting ready to rip apart the panel in my 182 and am debating on whether or not I want to do a Guardian flush panel mount with my iPad mini. I like the clean look of having it flush in the panel...
So I went to go flying this morning, temps were in the 20's overnight and in the low 30's when I got to the airport. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the old girl going before my battery gave out. What tips/tricks...
What's everyone's preferred cleaning agent to get the slim/oil residue off the belly? I've only washed the belly of my plane once since I bought it and it sucked. Surely there is something that won't hurt...
I have (2) 26" Goodyears (6" wheels) that came off my 182 during annual this year. Decided to go with something a little milder (8.50's & 8.00s) rather than 26's and an 8.50 since I spend most of my time...
I was perusing trade-a-plane yesterday and ran across this 182 with a 460 Wren conversion. Not sure what the performance enhancements are over a stock wing but it looks interesting with those drooping...
So I've had a tough run of it lately. When I was bringing my airplane home from the mechanic who diagnosed my low oil pressure, I noticed a light mist of red oil on my windshield. I called the prop guy...
Well gents, it’s starting to feel like I’m waging war on a band of gremlins that have taken up residence and started to reproduce like rabbits within my airplane. Every time I turn around, something breaks....
My 182 has an O-470-L. The oil pressure at startup registers just at the bottom of the green, roughly 30 psi. By the time it gets warm it drops back to 10-15psi and will stay there with minimal change...
So this question will show my ignorance and inexperience but oh well. I have the original Cessna pull out switch for my nav lights with two positions. I've honestly never noticed the first position before...
So I get this is a long shot but if anyone runs across or has a set of Atlee Dodge jumps with the mounting kit for a 180/182/185, I would be interested in taking them off your hands at the right price....
First off, I love mail days that involve oversized boxes.......my wife, not so much....”what the hell is that? Don’t get grease on my chair!” Haha. They’ll never understand....

So I’m in the process of amassing parts for a new panel setup in my 1960 182c. Currently I have an MX12 as my navcom and a gnc250xl as a com/gps. I use the GNC as my primary com. The MX12 seems to lack...
