When using ABW from 29 to 35's the side wall is not a big deal. The tire is designed to work at low pressure. BUT I had a bad experience with the 8.50 Desser busy tire. At first it seamed like a good in-between tire if you didn't want to or couldn't afford the ABW solution. BUT it's NOT. The Good year 26's are but not the Desser. The Desser is cheep and light weight making it a EZ choice. Part "1"

ZzzDid you run it at too low pressure and shear the valve stem off? Or peel the bead off the rim?
Dose anyone know what the status is of Caveman Ranch? I enjoyed the ranch flyin’s a few years ago and Rod, but can’t find anything about it’s current status. It’s such a wonderful place, is it even open??

Looking to BUY a flying Pacer. Looking for a solid, flying airplane at a reasonable price. Don't need or want anything fancy. Call or email. Would also consider the right TriPacer.

I'll have my Pacer back in the air soon. I went with Desser 8.50s and I'm wondering what tire pressures you have found to work best and what pressures don't work.
Thanks for your help.

Opinions are like, well you know what I mean. Having built and flown both TriPacers and Pacers for the last 20-years or so my thoughts are as follows. The TriPacer/Pacer is not a 185, 180, Maule or a Super Cub. That said it is a GREAT little plane for what it is and what it's capable of. I...
