I’m installing some Aero 2800 wheel skis on my experimental plane and was wondering if anybody that’s using Aero Ski steel springs could help me out with the stretched length. For guidance I do have AC43...
Planning a floatplane trip into Canada and was wondering if anybody could answer my questions. If I land on Crane Lake in MN and taxi over to Sand Point CJD6 in Canada to clear customs do I still need...
One question for those of you that have worked with the electric trim actuator. How weather tight is it? since I have the large trim tabs I could just use one and with that one I could mount the actuator in the actual elevator and make a fairing to cover it, like what Kestrel was talking about....
you guys are thinking along the same lines as I was for a trim tab mod. One scenario I have come up with is running 2 separate push pull cables, (long ones) one for each tab, from the trim tab to the the trim wheel, routed through the elevator and then through the fuselage. Another is running a...
not necessarily, my plane was built from a earlier set of plans in which the trim tabs are twice as large as the current ones so they are way more effective
Just wondering what you guys used to clamp the trim tab in place that you disabled. I have several ideas and have seen one that was done, it looked kind of crude but was effective. I have the large trim tabs and want to try flying with just one before I do a major trim system change. Thanks
The plane is at MGG. It does have a 540 on it with a Catto fixed pitch prop. So far it seems to be a good combination. Empty wt came in at 1366 which I think is the lightest with a 540 in it except for...

Finally finished my Bearhawk. Got it inspected a couple of weeks ago and starting to fly off the 40 hours
