  • ok, I'm thinking that if I can see with my naked eye that one tire is pointing outward looks to be about an inch, while the other one looks straight........ there might be a problem with alignment :(
thanks for the help, its at the maintenance hanger now

  • I'll take in to the shop and have that checked
    Put 35psi and flew today
Don't like that at all just about to put 6.00 back on
But will try alignment before i give up on the 8.50's
I really like the look of them though
    Thanks for the suggestion

jpr For what it's worth I run mine around 18 psi normally, 22-24 if I need to push it around by myself. Working on a tug to solve that problem.

    Check your alignment for sure.

  • yes mostly left, but I was not having any issues with the 6.00's I could track straight all day long.
was at 18 Psi, bumped up to 22, and finally at 25 Psi. still does it but not as bad
usually happens right before takeoff on the mains already

A1Skinner Barnstormer is correct on what I meant. If the brakes were wearing on the tire hard enough to pull you'd have big grooves in your tires already. I meant a pad sticking. Wheel over tightened is another possibility.

  • anyone having veering problems on takeoff after installing 8.50's is this normal compared to 6.00's

jpr What do you mean by veering problems?

With the greater deck angle your rudder will have a little less authority - try getting it up on the mains a little earlier.

If it's just skipping around, check that your inflation is correct and that your mains are aligned properly.

  • can not seem to get a straight answer on this subject. how much structural-ness is there in the flat aluminum with a lot of 3" and 2-1/4" holes in it? is this a 337 or just a logbook entry Thanks, Bradley
