    I am working on a 108-1751 that has the 0470 mod. the serial number looks like it runs into the 108-2 numbers so is the mod legal for this AC?? Also it has the Air Mod sa4-1195 STC metal wings but I don't have anything but the front page of the STC. Does anyone have the rest of the STC so MY IA will sign it off.
    Does anyone know how to tell which wings I have??

    Straydog As far as I'm aware, the -3 three wings cant go on anything but a -3. There seem to have been a good many folks over my years of reading that would love to do that given the larger fuel tanks and increased gross weight ostensibly due to the improved alloy used in the wing spar. To date, I've never read of anybody pulling it off. If you're unsure if you might have -3 wings, there are a couple things you can look for; -3 wings have the tiedown ring attached to the wing spar a bit outside the lift strut. Also the wing S/N is stamped on the center flap hinge of each wing. Here's a link to an article regarding those serial numbers www.stinsonflyer.com/avtextsf/…
