anyone going to this? http://theraf.org/civicrm/event/info?id=318&reset=1
anyone ever been to this?
thinking of going next month and tent camping under the wing and maybe do some trout flyfishing...
just finished the install on my 1956 C180.
first flight up high to stall, power on and off stalls,
gets a buffeting action right before stall, very mild on both
indicated says 45 Mph.
But I have...
from bell crank in tail to rudder. just started my first annual.
when we took off the inspection covers on top of horizontal we noticed that the cables going to the
rudder were very loose.
the tension...
would like to know what brand these are, just because my paperwork says they are X I want to verify that they are X
Thanks in advance,
Bradley

ok, I'm thinking that if I can see with my naked eye that one tire is pointing outward looks to be about an inch, while the other one looks straight........ there might be a problem with alignment :(
thanks for the help, its at the maintenance hanger now
Bradley
I'll take in to the shop and have that checked
Put 35psi and flew today
Don't like that at all just about to put 6.00 back on
But will try alignment before i give up on the 8.50's
I really like the look of them though
Thanks for the suggestion
yes mostly left, but I was not having any issues with the 6.00's I could track straight all day long.
was at 18 Psi, bumped up to 22, and finally at 25 Psi. still does it but not as bad
usually happens right before takeoff on the mains already
A1SkinnerBarnstormer is correct on what I meant. If the brakes were wearing on the tire hard enough to pull you'd have big grooves in your tires already. I meant a pad sticking. Wheel over tightened is another possibility.
can not seem to get a straight answer on this subject.
how much structural-ness is there in the flat aluminum with a lot of 3" and 2-1/4" holes in it?
is this a 337 or just a logbook entry
Thanks,
Bradley
Since my 1956 C-180 is CAR-3 I can replace my sticky oil pressure gauge with an NON - TSO'd pressure gauge
Correct ? :?: :?: :?: :?:
if the consensus is yes it does not need to be TSO'd...
I'm currently on about hour 12 or so on my new to me 1956 C-180. I have been flying since 1987 but only got my ppl in 1997 and haven't flown much, around 120 hours. Jan/Feb got my tailwheel, and took...
Check your alignment for sure.
