Looking for input on the Bogert BO-04M-AirGlas nose fork versus the BO-04M-BBU Universal Big Bogi model, especially for carrying in the airplane. Have an AirGlas with an 8:50-6 on a 182D.
Cessna gear leg step repair.
Just replaced my main gear legs, and need to re-install the steps. Same steps from the "D" Legs onto 4" longer "C" legs. Can't find the Conley-Weld epoxy. Looked in the later 1963-1968 Cessna 100-Series Service manual, that Conley-weld OR a similar epoxy base adhesive may be used. See that Spruce has a product that may work, "Metlweld" Epoxy Adhesive, anyone use it?
I have the installation paperwork on Monarch 18 gal. auxillary fuel tanks that came with my 182D.
Loved the added fuel capacity, and inboard placement next to the mains.
Just had to replace both my tanks due to radial cracks around the low point sump drains. Got extremely lucky and found a set of used tanks.
Anyone else switch over to the newer gravity feed style tanks? Cost? Headaches?
Contacting Butch at Hartwig by email to seek a solution. Looks like replacement tanks will be needed.
These are a great Modification to the plane, and work well, except the nagging drip at the sump.
System is similar to my Maule Aux tanks, partially empty mains, and then transfer pump aux fuel...
Looking for 337 information for installation of Cessna 182 C gear legs on a 182 D. See it was permissible to order the 4" taller gear C gear on the D. The parts Book "Note" indicates to check the Original equipment list and 337 history of the aircraft to determine which gear is installed. Looks like a 337 vs a log book entry may be required? Anyone done this?
Found a nice 182D with Horton STOL, Texas Skyways 520, and other mods, want to add bigger tires and brakes, still not clear which brake discs and torque plates are used with the 52N brakes.

flybrian1950See I will need a STC from Atlee-Dodge thru Airframes to install the double puck Clevelands on the 182D, and 850-6 on the mains. Considering 26's on the mains and 8.50 on the nose.
New to BCP, have been on Maule Pilots for some time, and met a fellow named Rob who had a Maule and had stopped in at Independence State for lunch. He suggested BCP, and apparently posts often at both sites.
