Hawk Greenway winters in Aspen, Colorado and knocks around Alaska as much as he can in his Ector/Cessna Bird Dog. A pilot for 40 years, he lives by the philosophy of always keeping the oily side down. The best advice he ever received about flying was from his mentor in the Learjet, who told him it was probably a good idea not to touch anything in the cockpit unless he knew what it did and actually wanted that to happen.
After two seasons of being limited to 12,000' during commercial sightseeing flights, Hawk Greenway wanted to fly his personal Cessna Bird Dog over the top of Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. When perfect conditions arrived, he went for it.
