MajmetroHere's the short of it. Aug 2022, ground looped in Bella Coola BC, damaged wing tip and left aileron. Aircraft disassembled, transported down to Longview WA. Considerable more damage on transportation down to lower 48.
After 2 years, all parts repaired and ready to assemble. My shop has too many projects in front of me.
I'm looking for a reputable shop in the Portland, OR area interested in putting my '58 C180 back together.
We are trying to install these McFarlane tail cone reinforcement splices and have not been able to position them in such a way that provides adequate rivet/screw 2d "edge distances" when locating holes...
Would like to run 8.50s on a set of Alaskan Bushwheels (40-75T) on my 180. I had installed the Cleveland 40-75Ts earlier with the Kenmore 8.50 STC, scuffed up the left on a ground loop and am now finding it difficult to hunt down a replacement with a reasonable cost. Has anyone done this legally?
Ground looped my 180 in Bella Coola this past week. Damaged left wing tip (Hoerner), bulkhead, aileron and aft top skin. Bummer for sure.
Need to recover aircraft back to the states (Longview, WA)....
