Cessna Straight-Tail 182 Fly-In at Smiley Creek, June 5-7, 2020. Overnight camping, Fly-outs to other backcountry airstrips for those who desire. If you’ve never been to Smiley Creek you’re missing a great Sawtooth Recreation Area location. Just got approval from the Idaho Aeronautics Division so this is the first notification on this site. Smiley Creek has lots of tie-down and camping space, restrooms, showers, restaurant and rooms to rent walking distance away and magnificent scenery. 7000’ elev. surrounded by 10K ft mountains. Identifier U87. I assume most people will be camping. If you need to rent a room, visit the Smiley Creek Lodge website. If you’re interested in attending get it on your calendar and Email me with your name and size of your group attending.
