Do any of you know about this strip between Meadow Lake and Colorado Springs? It also was just over 6,800 MSL and is about 900 feet long if I remember right? It is where I bought my J-3, and the first time I ever flew a J-3.

It has a fair slope going down hill to the west into trees and is cut into the side of a hill, so going off either side could be bad.
