This isn't exactly "backcountry", but I hope you'll like it. I shot it today with my Canon SD550 digital camera with an extra 2G SD card. I edited it with the software that came with the camera.

Nice video. I've flown almost that same route except I came from Nampa and through Boise instead of Murphy. Lots of that looked familiar, I've flown over Murphy several times but just haven't made the time, gonna have to do that one of these days. Nice landing by the way.

I noticed that, too . Maybe the wind shifted on final .

You guys are right! It looked fairly flat coming in - a lot flatter than my home airport (KJER). And surface winds were reported fairly calm all the way from Jeome. Guess I need to pay more attention to my AFD, and less to my Garmin. Good catch!

If you get into the shutter settings of the camera you can eliminate seeing the prop at all but taxi speeds.

Man 2nd post and you're kicking butt dude. Great video.

I spent a few days getting checked out in my 1954 180, from a guy in Caldwell. Back in 1997 though, and the Murphy strip wasn't that nice back then. We ate there three days in a row, good burgers. Or maybe it was because we ate after 5 wheel landings, then 5 three point, then lunch.

Good video, good landing, great looking burger! How hard is it to post a video to BCP? I have one I would like to share. Quick tail.... I had about three hours on my solo when I made a pass over the tetrahedron to see which way the wind was blowing. (sock was shot) I noticed I was down wind, so I turned around and headed back only to see the tetrahedron pointing the other way! Down wind again, I turned around headed the other way only to see the tetrahedron making a 450* turn, I thought what the hell I'll just land. Light variable in the Great Basin!

I tried to post this earlier,but it ended up on the community (Rebel) page, so if it happens again I'll quit. If it gets posted in two places well maybe I'm just an idiot.[/u]
