180/185 Float Plane Spreader Bars

I am wanting to build a spreader bar/lifting frame for my 180. My 180 does have the lifting eyes. I have a few thoughts how I would like to build one. Will y'all share photos or drawings of ones that are used?

Here is a pic of the spreader bar I built for my cub. Should be able to cobble something together solitary for 180.

FWIW, every time someone posts a picture using tapatalk, I just see a little box with nothing more. Clicking on that box to put it into a new tab, a message tells me that the tapatalk protocol isn't supported. Since I don't understand all that stuff, all I can say is that tapatalk doesn't work very well with pictures.

Does your airplane have two lifting rings or four? Assuming four, I'd build it with an X, spreading the slings diagonally. Then you can fold it nearly flat for storage. Building a rectangle or an H is harder to build and store.

I use 12' long slings and no spreader. I've got three crane trucks to chose from, so the sling length isn't an issue. It's been suggested that I'm imposing some harmful side loading. I don't think so.

I got this on a seaplane email list years back.... it should do the trick:

If you have the headroom, you don't need a spreader bar arrangement so long as your lifting cables are at least 60" long. Shorter than that, and they'll put too much side load on the lifting rings.

Thanks for the responses. As much a I like pretty woman and I know the pilot humor. I can say I disappointed that there was no spreading involved. . I am sure the censors would have removed.

The last drawing is what I was thinking the middle having a 1/4 or 3/8 1.5'' strap with mutable holes for adjustable lift points.

Can't compete with that Cub picture! However, here is a diagram and pictures from ours. There are two slots in the tube that fit over the forward lifting rings. Then a long rod runs though the tube and rings, works great.
