Hi, are there any special tricks that you know of for removing and replacing with a new bladder in a 182B? This will be the left side bladder.
Thanks Mike

Let the new bladder sit out in the warm sun for awhile? Find someone with long arms to get those corner snaps? Purchase the McFarlane gaskets? Drink heavily? Keep a bunch of band-aids on hand?

15 years ago when I replaced a set in a 185 I owned at the time Eagle included the band aids in the installation kit.

Put duct tape on your forearm and biceps. It will reduce hard to explain bruises and scrapes on your arms. On the plus side, you will experience a true 'wax' job, if your hairy. Eagle still includes Band-Aids for their tongue an cheek nod to the high probability of being damaged in the process.

Get the Eagle drain valves out them in right away. Tape around the edge of the hole so your arms dont get all scrathed/cut up. A big mirror that just fits in the hole is is nice to see and make sure you got all the old tape/glue cleaned up as well as making sure everything is taped properly. Take your time with taping and make sure you get everything. I find a short piece of 4x4 in the tank is nice to help give you leverage to get the far top snaps in place. Put a swear jar on the wing and you'll be able to afford a nice dinner afterwards as a reward. Haha.

Last set I did I used a WiFi borescope with an app on my phone to see inside the bay for tape work.. when it came to the top snaps I taped the camera to the top of the bay pointed at the snap hole and was able to “see” the location for putting the snap in place.. worked pretty well for that..

That is a great idea! I'm going to have to try that on my next bladder job. Turns out my 206 needs a left one...
