Had a great night here at S37. Very damp but, zero rain. My 10 year old Optimus stove, I purchased in Australia, required a bunch of cleaning and grease to get it to stop leaking. But, it fired up!

Love it here!

I looked for a pota-potty. But, not installed.

Very surprised at how will kept the grounds are. Definitely a gem. Thank you for your guidance!

About (10) deer were walking around the camp this morning. One actually licked the tail rotor. Kind of shocked me the deer wanted to taste the helicopter! But, no damage the deer didn't like the taste I guess.

It was too dark yet to get any picture of the deer. You can barely see them crossing the runway:


I used the water spigot to wash a few dishes. Nice conveince

Having spent (2) nights (paid Park fee $11.00 per night) I'm really impressed with the level of details and cleanliness of the place. A pack of coyote killed something in the forest at about 06:00 PST, it was loud as hell until it died. Spooky to say the least.

Drank a cup of coffee and packed up the ship. Very (very) damp in the mornings. My boots were soaked from walking in the meadow.

Departed S37 approximately 08:30 PST. First stop was KTMK (Tilimook) for 100LL. The entire route was 1400' AGL broken ceilings.

Mary flew back to Hawaii yesterday after her first (4) hours PAX time in a R44! She said I didn’t scare her too much and she would return, thank God!
