2025 Airman's Show

Getting to be that time again... Thinking I'll take my Son up with me this year as I haven't been to the show since FedEx gave em the boot.

About time I get my yearly fix for wandering around Lake Hood anyway...

Re: 2025 Airman's Show

Booked my tix... Staying at the Millennium (Lake Front) on Fri night (per BCP tradition.). Im in late, but we'll have the traditional BCP meetup at 8-830 if anyone is around?

I'll be driving up to Palmer on Sat AM for the day, and then back to ANC Sat eve for a good long wander around Lake Hood.

LMK if you'll be up.

Re: 2025 Airman's Show

Remember the days when the Millenium bar was chocker block full of pilots the night before the show? BCP had at least two tables filled with yapping knuckleheads... some who had just met, some who had known each other for years. Zzzz was still selling his textiles and we were all easy marks. Even Larry was there! LOL

Sounds like next Fri it will be me and a couple of crickets.

For a few minutes I was considering going. Speaking a little too loudly about it on the phone. That’s all I can say.

Re: 2025 Airman's Show

The Glen Highway bridge is being closed down to only two lanes the next 4 weeks. Traffic could be an issue even on the weekend. Might not be too big of an issue but I would leave yourself some extra time, leave early and have breakfast in Palmer before the show. The traffic app Waze will show any delays and reroute you if there is a faster road. The bridge is a choke point. Locals might be running the old glen into North palmer so that may be crowded also. This site is also excellent. Hope to see you there.
