26 goodyear tundra tires

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

26 goodyear tundra tires

Does anyone have any field approvals on the 26 Goodyear tires? I'm putting them on a citabria and need a few other field approvals to send to the fsdo, any info would be great!

You could go with Alaskan bushwheels and be stc'd... I'm sure you know that.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

I was gonna go with them except I fly out of an asphalt runway, heard that the Goodyears work better on asphalt. I would have loved to get those and not had to deal with getting a field approval for the Goodyears.

Ok. Makes sense. I run 31s on my citabria and do land on pavement sometimes. Havent had any problems yet, but I have heard that you will of you fly off of pavement all the time, se rhing you heard.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

I plan to go that route when I head to Alaska but for now this is the best option.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

Are they 337's that would benefit others with similar a question by having them posted in the knowledge base? I can blank out personal information.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

Ya, 337's I have a bunch of CD's from the FAA of different aircraft that were highly modified. I could send some your way if you want to censor them and start a library. Mostly 170 stuff, some PA-12 and Champ stuff.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

I have an approved 337 for 26" GY's on my C150/150TD. I don't have a "tundra tire worksheet" or any other supporting paperwork, but you're welcome to a copy of the 337 itself. It was done up in Fairbanks 20 years ago- who knows, the inspector who signed it off (looks like "Harley Holt"?) might even still be on the job there.
Email me at [email protected] and I'll email you a photo of the 337.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

Cool. Per this thread, anyone that would like to submit approved/processed 337's re: Goodyear 26" tires for the knowledge base can email them to [email protected]. Indicate if you care whether your Name and N# are shown on them.

Thanks.

Re: 26 goodyear tundra tires

Well after a few valve stems ripping off new tubes and upgrading to the Alaska Bushwheels. Skip the Goodyears, spend the money and get yourself some real bushwheels.
