2nd Annual Wray CO fly-in.

Check out the events page. And the thread from last year. We have a laid back event with lots of chances to fly and talk about flying. We have lots of off airport terrain that you can try out if you have big tires.. Along with the fly-out breakfast on sat morning and pumpkin drop and balloon pop. Last year the weather was perfect and we are hoping for a repeat performance. If you have been to Matt's flyin in the past, that is the atmosphere we are going for.

This is a pretty relaxed fly-in, but the people are friendly and the food is good!

And here is the flyer with all the information about it.

Looks like a great time, thanks for organizing this. Wish I could make it, but it is not looking likely.

We are only about 120 air miles from most of the front range. It would be an easy day trip for any front rangers. If the weather is good you could have a leisurely departure by ten or eleven and drop a few pumpkins, pop a balloon or two, eat a burger and a braut and be home before dark easy!!

I'm planning on making the trip. But, keeping an eye out for the weather. Looks like some unsettled conditions Thursday night into Friday, but clearing out for the rest of the weekend....Fingers crossed.

If I can shake this dang-fool head cold, I'll try to make it. Right now, I couldn't safely fly in the pattern! :(

This is my first attempt to embed a pic. We will see if this works.Image

Lets try again.Image
Can you see it now?

Finally!

Here a few pics from the flyin this weekend. We dropped about 50, 20 lb pumpkins, popped about 30 balloons and generally burnt a bunch of gas.

I really wanted to come, but my headcold is still lingering on, too--I did manage to drive to the airport to grab the 430W's data card to update it, but I haven't been back yet. Glad your fly-in was fun.
