50 Below!!

Here I sit around the fire
to cold to start my plane

I saw one fly by hours ago
he must have been insane

I live a life that most would love
Except when it turns cold

On days like this the warmest place
Is sittin on the stove

Oh to be a snowbird
And fly down South with Gump

But my job it is a full time one
So I sit here a frozen lump

When Mercury drops to 50 below
the only Solice to be

Is the Northern Lights a runnin wild
As far as you can see

Damn it cold here!!! :(

Re: 50 Below!!

Well now the cold is finally gone.

The sun is out all night.

I slipped my bond with Mother Earth

To try and get some height.

I flew her south, than east and west.

The vista was not good.

For all the trees that once were green

Are now engulfed in soot!

The fires rage across the State

I hope they soon burn out.

Cause summers short here in the North

And then the winters freeze you out!

After the fires we had in the past few years, I didn't think there was anything left to burn
Obviously I was wrong.

Re: 50 Below!!

nice, saw 52 above both yesterday and today. Luckily the passenger didn't show up until it was down to 46. Even the old G2 didn't like that very much.

Re: 50 Below!!

A new all time record of "coldest May" was set in nearby Pocatello, I was glad to hear that as I was pretty sure I've been freezing my ass off. Weird year so far......
