I so miss that pleasant weather in Alaska. Leave Anchorage in the freezing rain and fly to Bettles after passing over the most god awful weather along the way. Keeping the Twin Otter's de-ice on high and watching pasties form on the spinners get 6" long and break off, then repeat, that's entertainment. You would be flying over nice zephyr breezes like this, knowing that once you got on the ground, your face is going to be abraded to ribbons. But you still had to hump the 85 lb battery out of the airplane and bring it to your room, or no starting in the morning.

I kind of like flying down into Mexico at the moment better. Even though it rains and can be cold, this is what it looked like on the 21st of December. Lets see... High speed ice razors in the air or...

That's the million dollar question isn't it? I brought it home in July and it's still in the trailer. We have not been settled into a home since we left Alaska in '05 and we've had 5 "moves" since. The boat was a good experience but kinda messed up any sense of "settled" that we may have had. Boxes. We are now 4 months into taking over the Family Manse and are still unpacking, sorting, and getting rid of my parent's lifetime collection of crap and putting away our lifetime collection of treasures. :) The Garage floor is clear but I have three more rooms to go through before I can in good conscience bear down on the Zenith. My rental should sell in Jan/Feb and provide the FWF and panel. All is good. I'll be starting a build thread soon.

A reading of 135.8 degrees below zero was measured in Antarctica, using remote sensing from satellites.

Yep. I can see that.
....and if you weren't fast/quick, it'd be likely to freeze while it is still in the hose! [-X
