Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

8.00 fit on the stock 182 wheels that once fit 6.00x6??

Can I just install 8.00s on the stock main wheels? I know field approvals and brakes are also some hurdles but I didn't know if I would need a new wheel setup as well. Also, is the strut tube for the 206 the same as the 182? Thanks for all the help and information this forum has provided.

Ington,

This is probably one of the most discussed subject on BCP. There have been many threads about the various ways to configure the wheels and tires on tricycle Cessnas. Some searching will net you some good reading. Dedicated threads for specific scenarios tends to muddy the waters for future searchers. This is your 4th thread on the same basic topic, whereas it is preferable to consolidate all questions into a single thread.

For instance, I searched for "182 tires" and found this:

Here's another way to find good info, type this into a Google search:

Code: Select all
182 8.00  site:backcountrypilot.org

It uses the superior search engine of Google but limited to BCP.
