A 182 went down in eastern org

Ah man.... what a bummer :( Looks like the pilot lined up with the small road really well, too.

On that 182. Yeah that's weird. The date and days line up for this weekend in that news article. Somebody at that news company should pay a little more attention [-X

We had a 182 emergency land in a field outside of San Angelo last week. Blew a cylinder.....off......completely off the case. I saw it in the shop. It took a chunk of the case with it and dented the top cowl :shock:

Thankfully the clean field and good piloting provided an uneventful landing. Now he will have a new engine to go with his brand new paint and interior. =D> Think that paint job was on his mind as he was going "off airport" ??

Could have been a different story if the terrain was less favorable.

Was a sweet '62 model.
