Troy-Oakland is where I learned to fly. Nice & long (3500') but tight. Used to be another airport nearby there, when you were in the pattern for one you had to look out for traffic in the other. Nearby apartments would occasionally get hit (used to live in one, but not when it got hit). Glad to hear you're enjoying my neck of the woods.
