A cub with a 100HP Rotax

If you guys already know about this feel free to slap me.

Zlin makes a line of LSA aircraft called the iCub and now they are pricing them competitively with the Rans S7LS. From an EAA email:
Sportair USA announced price reductions on the entire Zlin Savage line of aircraft. The Savage Cub is now available in America for $78,790, ready-to-fly including shipping, fees, and registration. The new, lower prices on other Savage aircraft are $71,090 for the Classic, $74,490 for the Cruiser, and $87,610 for the iCub.

The iCub website is here if you want to take a look at what they have: http://icub.aero/

They are to a Rans as the old Avid Flyer was to the Kitfox....meaning they were "inspired" by Schillters design, copied it in other words. Having said that, they were smart to make the cosmetic changes they did to make it look more like a SC, ( Ihave always disliked the squared off tail feather of my two S-7's, and my paint scheme somewhat helps there) who knows maybe they have some improvements on line. Whether they will be around in decades like Rans (the company) has been remains to be seen.

I agree. Randy came up with a simple and rugged design. After flying my S6 to Oshkosh and back I'm really impressed with the plane. Rounded tail feathers would be really cool though.
