a few pics from the last few days

I saw this guy doing the crane service on a high dollar log home, at the Alpine airport, that's a taxi way, so of course I landed and bs'd with him a bit. We traded stories, and swapped business cards, a good operator with good equipment (not as good as mine though) #-o Image Laying down some tracks at one of my summer sitesImage Up by the Grand, and then a few minutes later a little further awayImageImage A new kind of snow machineImage

I think we need to start our own BCP picture of the week! Just some great shots. And looks like a blast!

You probably have a better name too. Discount crane service? not really what you want hanging stuff over your head.

Re: a few pics from the last few days

The dog walking in front of the horse drawn sleigh really made that shot for me, I wasn't the only one making tracks that morning! At times like this I really appreciate the SneakyBastardMufflerSystem, though even with that I didn't want to get too close, so this was a telephoto shot and not as sharp as it could have been down lower. One pass and a little wing waggle and I left him back in the 19 th. century

That reminds me, the other day while walking past a hard core group of sled heads on the way to the cafe at Smiley Creek (the usual friendly staff and locals, great coffee and good food at very fair prices considering where they are in the supply line) a casual glance at their machines showed more high technology in their handle bars and seat cushions then in my entire plane. Hell they probably had three times the horsepower, and of course fuel injected and turboed. If Arctic Cat, Yamaha, etc. etc. ever put their financial weight and engineering expertise into light aircraft, we'd really see something! Ain't going to happen of course, not a big enough market for them. Walking past them again on the way back to the plane, which they couldn't see, they looked at me like "who's this guy and why is he walking ?" Once back in the plane and on the way out of there I of course showed them what my low tech flying machine could do that they couldn't, FLY =D> Then just to rub it in I hit a few hillsides that they had partially tracked up, then I got out of there before they caught up with me, as I'm sure their top speed is much higher then mine.

Hey that guy could have been my Father-in-Law! He has a horse-drawn sleigh to feed his cows. Was this picture taken around Driggs??

Next time you see him, could you do a low pass and drop him some Paxil \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
