A fun weekend to Montana and back

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

A fun weekend to Montana and back

Here's something you don't see every day: a one of a kind Cessna with a radial engine, on amphib floats!Image
They have some funny looking cattle in MontanaImageImage
Some one really wanted a covered bridge, over an irrigation canal!Image
The lower water levels are finally allowing a little gravel bar action, earlier they were all under water.Image
Another old shack/airplane picture for my collectionImage
Somewhere near The Park (Yellowstone)Image
Years ago noted thespian and all around deep thinker (or pretentious, bloated, enviro poser, suedo mystic, grade b movie hack actor/kick dancer depending on your view) Steven Seagal owned this spread. The private road is miles long, the property is backed by The Park, so no new neighbors worries there. A SWEET place to send a couple weeks a year....he let it go to ruin and shame, according to locals, as he wanted it to return to nature or some BS like that. I saw a group of suited figures on the deck one year (coming back from the Three Forks fly-in) and a short time later read that he was/had been being extorted by some Mob figures (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/crim ... index.html) during this time. I always wondered if I had caught a glimpse of them on the deck.....one quick pass only, and not as close as the camera lense makes it look!Image
My old T-Craft, looking good =D> It was great meeting the new owners and knowing it is in good hands.Image

That looks like so much fun. I haven't been out as much as I would like this summer. I'm really looking forward to getting up to JC again in a couple of weeks. Thanks for posting! =D>
