A giggler!

Well I was watching a movie "8 below". Anyway this expidition team is in the Antartic and leaving base camp. Cool I says to myself a Turbine Otter. What! Starts like a radial, idles like a Cessna 150. No turbine whine what so ever. Bummer! Movies... do they ever get them right?

You'll notice almost all helicopters sound like a Bell 47 too.

DC-3

Here is a link to a short clip of the filming of the new james bond movie. It has a great shot of a DC-3 doing a low pass out in the dessert. I hope they dont edit that one for the movie.

There is also a shot in that movie, don't know whether they are arriving or departing, with a shot of the panel that shows a whole set-up of EI equipment with all the analog arcs pinned to the left as in "ENGINE NOT RUNNING"!

I got a laugh out if it being that the plane was taxiing at the time!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Or in Airplane, the persistent drone of prop noise every time they show the jet in flight. I love that movie.

Wowzers! 8) Did you see the dust that kicked up behind the DC-3 when it did that low pass. Not sure if the props weren't trimming the catus.
