A mogas program proposal

In early September I had correspondence with Earl Lawrence at EAA headquarters in my continuing quest to get EAA to support some kind of program to educate members about the spreading ethanol threat to self-fueling and hopefully to get them to support a universal ban on blending ethanol into premium unleaded and pushing for mogas service on airports. I got a typical bureaucratic wishy-washy response from Earl. But a number of EAA members jumped on Earl and he finally responded that EAA was really sensitive to membership concerns.

So, not trusting bureaucrats to actually do something, I have written a proposal for EAA to consider with the help of another EAA member in Arizona and I am going to send it to Earl next week. I would like to hear from you if you support the program proposal. Please feel free to circulate the proposal to other EAA members that you know.

If you support the proposal, please send me an email with your name and EAA membership number and I will include you in the message that I send to Earl Lawrence. Me email address is [email protected]

After that, I will send it to the state pilot organizations in the Northwest.

You can read the proposal at http://www.stopeio.com/mogas.pdf
