A new pilot!

Well yesterday I took my check ride after about 45 hours of training in a C-170B. Took it at Wellington Ks KEGT after hitting 3 grass runways to get their. So I am a real pilot from the start.

Congrats! Now you have a license to learn--and there is one heckuva lot of stuff to learn. Everyone of us here, no matter what our ratings, no matter how many hours, are still students to some extent, because no one knows all there is to know about flying.

Congratulations! You are now free to roam about the country...except for those pesky restricted areas and tfrs...but still pretty cool.

That is awesome! I am on my way to try and reach the same point. I have almost 30 hours so far so I can see the light at the beginning of the new tunnel!

It's an awesome feeling isn't it! Congradulations, you have now entered a world of obsession and hopeless addiction that there is only one cure for, get out and fly as often as possible, and I probably don't have to say it but have fun.

Congratulations!!
Your post brought back so many great memories for me. I too got my PPL in a C-170 at a relatively young age (N3853V - which was sadly totaled by a subsequent owner). After 29 years of being a licensed pilot, I still learn something new each and every time I fly. I wish you all the success, enjoyment, and personal growth that I've enjoyed through flying, and pray God's blessings and protection for you as you progress and attain your goal of becoming a Missionary pilot.
