A185F 1974 parts, service and operators manuals

Good day Guys

I'm new to the forum and find the info very helpful. So here's the deal. I got a A185F from the DRC up in north africa that's been abandoned a long time ago. I managed to get the export docs to import into south africa. I'm planning on restoring this bird to it's former glory. We can under local rules restore this as an experimental A/C. So for a start I'm looking for the parts, service and flight manuals of this 1974 A185F in pdf format. Can anybody please share link if possible?
Regards
Henke

Textron has the manuals on their website for free. SBs/SLs, too.

You have a link to the free ones? I've never been able to find them free, and they arent cheap from what I see.

I concur. If there is a link somewhere in all that “data” that gets to free downloads please post. All I can find for the 182 is a link to the IPC that doesn’t work. All other links connect to a catalog with fairly pricey quotes. Probably well worth the AMUs for the information but far from free.

All of Cessna's manuals dated about 1968 and earlier were never copyrighted, so you can fine them free to download from a lot of places. After that they were all copyrighted, and you need to pay for EVERYTHING. If someone finds a legitimate site that has new stuff free please post it here.

This could be a very long restoration if you’re not willing to buy the foundation documents....just saying.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll certainly buy the material, just thought downloadable info available. Some pics

Certainly a reasonable assumption in this age. I’ve been able to find scanned copies of most of the earlier airplanes manuals online, works good. You should email some of the various Cessna dealers in the US and see if you can find some used paper copies they’re not using anymore.

Looks like you’ve got quite the project there. What sort of critter was living in the glovebox?

I've resurrected 3 abandoned planes, you've got a lot of work ahead of you. Good luck and please post updates as it gets farther along, at least show us the first flight. :D

What restoration? She looks ready to go to me.
Just fly with the windows open for the first few hours,
to blow out all the straw & rat nest material.
Seriously, looks like a fun project-- good luck with her!
Please post photos & narrative as you make progress.

She looks like it was a Ag model with the cutters on the landing gear and brackets for a belly tank. Wonder what looks like a hole in the lower forward boot cowl was for.
