So I have a friends wedding on May 10-12 in Raleigh, NC. I'm debating...
Option 1) Spend $600 and buy a ticket via airline (10-13 May)
Option 2) Spend $1000 more and fly myself, GO TO Caveman, make a stop in Oaklahoma, Arkansas & maybe Georgia to visit family. (4-16 May)

What would you do? ( WWBCPD haha )
Anyone need to visit famiy in middle America want to split costs!?

At a glance (i.e. no scientific or experiential evidence) it looks like you made a conservative estimate. That will help you decide to fly yourself.

I say fly it. Can't wait for the trip report. General Aviation is the answer to the TSA.

Come on now Keith- I'm not nearly that rabid! In fact our fuel guy is a pretty misguided individual in that fashion and we still get along just fine. I might point out the errors in one's ways, but all are welcome!
