ADC Oil Filter Screen

I have an Air Development Corporation screen oil filter (STC# SA7162NM) on my O-470. The rubber gasket around the center hole is starting to come off. I am trying to find a supplier of spare parts for the ADC oil filter. A search of Chief Aircraft Supply and Aircraft Spruce and Specialty doesn't show that they carry it. I found a number on the web for ADC in Seattle, but when I call it I get a recording that the number has been disconnected.

Does anybody know if ADC is still in business, or if there is a place to purchase a replacement screen?

Thanks.

Re: ADC Oil Filter Screen

I think they went out of business around 2011.

At one time replacement screens could be purchased from: http://store.obergfilters.com/oil.html

Might try them......

Had a similar problem on the one on the 180, couldn't find anything anywhere as far as replacement parts. Just scraped the whole thing. Went back to the stock screen. Can't tell any difference in the oil over its lifespan in the engine. Saved 9.5 Lbs. too.

Re: ADC Oil Filter Screen

I can find ADC available as AVIATION DEVELOPMENT CORP.com no spaces.
BUT - there are no aviation related items listed.

The other company mention (Oberg) ? still sells oil filter kits but NOT for airplanes.

A/C Spruce does not show any ADC items - period.

If it is just a "seal" as in a round "O" ring - review: If you fly COLD Wx then Buna-n
Can locate a supplier if that is the case - And: you know the over-all diam. and thickness diameter.

Re: ADC Oil Filter

Did anyone ever find a source for the o-ring / gasket for the ADC remote oil filter system? I need one!

Is there anything special about it? You can source most sizes of O-rings if you know diameter, cross section size, and material type.

Re: ADC Oil Filter Screen

I have sent several PM replies
Unable to locate the STC# listed

Others above are speaking of "screens" as opposed to "O" rings.

Did locate 7 page STC# SA00402SE PDF copy

www.csobeech.com/files/ADC-SpinOnFilterManual.pdf

The FAA file describes the usage a little differently
than the copy I printed from the above link.

Re: ADC Oil Filter Screen

The ADC oil filter used Oberg filter assemblies. Here's a link to purchase new screens.

Re: ADC Oil Filter Screen

Resurrecting an old thread here. Is anyone running one of these ADC filters? I have one that is in great shape, and am considering installing it in lieu of the Tempest, which makes me quite nervous.

Searching the FAA's STC database by the STC holder's name, I located a bunch of STCs related to the ADC oil filter adapters.

This is the one that I am looking for:

https://drs.faa.gov/browse/excelExternalWindow/6B2A409E0295209F85256CC2000E3B88.0001

There are a half dozen others that are related searching an "Allen E. Timberman" as the STC holder.

Re: ADC Oil Filter Screen

Anyone know what micron the screen is?

My screen shows 600115 part number. 6 inch 115 micron?

No part numbers on Oberg site and no response phone or email.

Also, someone mentioned air wolf makes a good replacement system that fits?

Thx

A buddy of mine runs an ADC filter set-up.
Info he sent me sez the screen is indeed 115 microns.
He bought some replacement screens not long ago from Oberg (360-403-3222).
