Our customers Christoph and Alice from Austria flew N185AS Bushbird with me and put this video together from our early july arctic trip along with the help of Phil and Kathy in our other C185. We had a great trip, the lakes were still frozen over way north where we usually go so we went further west for a fun adventure catching many trout off the floats. Christoph and Alice had never fished before this trip and they are [hooked] on fishing - [catching] now! The music was fro Beth Marie Anderson who writes her own songs and creates some great music, she was working at Kasba Lodge in the Northwwest Territories and we had the priveledge of sitting down with here while she was creating one of here new songs while having some ice cold Alexander Keiths IPA! Our second tour was also with the same two C185's in mid july with guests from Barcellona Spain and their highlights were swiming with the Beluga whales in Churchill and flightseeing many polar bears. We are going to have some wheel plane tour options available for our non floater plane customers for next season to Churchill and the Arctcic,if interested let us know for next season as we are planning trips and we usually have a extra flotplane or two for people wanting to do a great floatplane tour. For some more fun video's you can look at Facebook -Adventure Seaplanes - Where The Seaplanes Are as there are many more to watch that Lori has put together.

Hi Brian, Good video---like the camera on the tailwheel stinger shots. Need to get up there soon before the summer is gone---been scouting for soybean aphids for the last month.

Tough job Brian.

Marty,
I can send you some beetles for those aphids if you like, they seem to like to winter in the farm house.

Steve, Seems the beetles show up in Sept. after it is to late to eat aphids. I am growing seed for Monsanto on most of my bean acres(which isn't much) and they have aphid resistance. Seems to be working since there are a few here and there but not enough to justify spraying. I did spray thirty acres of regular beans which seems to be easier, spend the money and spray and then you don't really have to check anymore. :)

I grow soybeans seed for the big M also. Aphids have not been an issue down our way. I have had to spray the house for beetles though (in the fall). Maybe I should have Brian fly over on his way to Fla. and shoot it with a dose of warrior or something (just to utilize his air time).

Marty - come on up and fly the 54 C180 on the aerocets, you will like them! You can fly my super cub back and scout your crops, you can fly slower than your 180 with the doors open, it has 31"ers on it so you can beat them down when you see the little critters eat'n your beans!

Steve - Not so tough job but great work! Sign up for next years trips north and expand your area from Dryden,! I'll get you to a fishing hole where your arms will be tired after catching many large trout and wrestling polar bears!

It has been on my list Brian, still trying to get caught up with projects here, just need to do it. I have been having my way with black bear and trout this year, but bigger is always better.
