Aeronca C-3

Ever wonder what it's like to fly an Aeronca C-3? Did you know they actually fly? Well, Budd Davisson put a new podcast up on his website describing it. It's interesting.

I am the text I create.

That was pretty cool. I think he better start doing video podcasts, I had too hard a time imagining his flight.

Those C3's are ugly and cute rolled into one. The wing support design is exactly like we have on our ultralights. It's pretty bomber.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Flying Bathtub

Its other nickname is the flying Bathtub. I actually have that airplane hanging in one of my hangars awaiting restoration one of these days, it is one of 2 my Boss owned. Different looking birds. They made them with a little cabin and doors also.
