Air Attack Cal fire.

Just saw a report on NBC nightly news about the So Cal fires. A short shot of a twin engine fire bomber dropping retardant on a fire right next to a house. The fire was 50ft away from the house, the aircraft looked 150 ft high, his drop was perfect along side the house. Great shot from the helicopter. Earning his money today.

We've been having our famous Santa Ana winds, which makes their job exponentially more difficult. 40-50 MPH gusts swirling around in the canyons, whipping up the fire, creating very very severe turbulence on top of the "regular" difficulties of that line of work. My hat's off to those bad-asses driving airplanes around in that crap, and the people out there on the ground saving homes, lives, animals, etc.
