Well if he is an airplane AND gun junkie, at least he can be trusted. But he can't be of any real use because he has to stay broke!

I guess this means that I have to actually buy something from you at the Trade Show in May this year to fund your habits. :D

Update:
My Dad had surgery 3-1/2 weeks ago. They took out his bladder, urinary tract, and prostate. He is still in the hospital. They re-operated last week b/c he developed 4 intestinal blockages. With any luck besides bad luck, he might get to go home in another week. He still has to recover and do chemo. They officially called it small cell carcinoma. It usually is in the lungs, but for some reason they found it in his bladder. He's been smoking since he was 8, so this is probably something from that habit. :(

I have been back to Denver a couple times to see him. I got him to go ice fishing a couple times before surgery, and I'm glad we went. As usual, he caught the first fish and the biggest. Some things will never change! I hope that he recovers enough so that I can take him flying. It's funny. I've been flying now for over 15 years but never once got him up in a plane I was flying. I gotta fix that while I still have the chance.

I also got another contract on my house in Corpus Christi. Keep yer fingers crossed that this one doesn't go South. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. :)
Cheers!

Just when I'm ready to pull the trigger on buying my own plane, life gets in the way. Well to hell with that!

good luck on the house. Spend as much time with your dad as you can. Make time for that matter. I know I still think sometimes, "Gee I should have gone to see dad more". And now I think, " gee I should have been a better dad to my son, and done more with him. Get him up in that plane if he can. I remember the last time I flew with my son in the right seat. He loved flying with me. Now his picture is right there on the panel smiling back at me.

Best of luck to you and your dad, Arn. The thing about shitty times is that they make the easy-going, boring days seem priceless.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

I just do not get it.
