Airplane Repo TV Show What Sunglasses The Pilots Are Wearing

So, I kept noticing that the pilots were wearing the same glasses no matter who, where, etc. So I just assumed that they were some kind of camera glasses. So I started looking online for a set of POV sunglasses that looked similar. I found these:

Damn technology, I'm gonna have to get a set now.....


And if they are good enough for the Discovery Channel, I'd say that the sumbitches are gonna be good enough for me!

Airplane Repo is all fake..They did one at my airport, Animas Air Park in Durango, Co...All fake and phoney...don't believe much of what you see on TV...

Check the recent post- air races BCP gathering. Rod ( Caveman) startled those guys there and even has a photo to prove it. The one guy even is carrying his trusty satchel and file of papers.. Rod labeled it " if you lost your airplane , I think I found it".
They didn't have those glasses that day but they were sure checking N numbers.

I learned something tonight on the show. A whiskey compass in a J3 also doubles as a fuel gauge.......

N=none
3=3 gallons
6=6 gallons
E=empty
12=12 gallons
15=15 gallons
S=some
21=21 gallons
24=24 gallons
W=wots*
30=30 gallons
33=33 gallons

Lol, I just watched that and in the back of my mind wondered why they were showing the compass close up view...but they did show the actual fuel gauge a couple times while they were talking empty tanks so...

If pilots think of this show as a "comedy", it goes down a lot smoother :roll: :mrgreen:

I just like the fact that there is another aviation show back on tv (and shows some backcountry stuff at times).

The general public knows nothing about GA so the only ppl that would catch any of this stuff is goobers like us anyway. I'm sure everyone watching at home figures that they file a flight plan before every flight too.

I still like the glasses.

actually we'd be better off without infor from any news source or reality show... News organizations lie and have a political agenda these days.... uh oh... venturing into Hot Air territory..never mind... :shock:
