So if you're on wheels, 10 to 30nm ring - file a vfr flight plan, contact ATC and squawk a discrete code,
but seriously, "Seaplane Operations" are not authorized even in the 30 nm outer ring? I guess it's a mute point since Lake Hood is only 6 nm from Elmendorf so it will be shut down anyways due to being within 10nm inner ring.

Yeah, we just all sorta wish these dumb shits would stay in DC and not shut down some really busy airspace so the Pres can work some more fund raisers.

And, if you violate one of these, your pilot certificate goes away for a good while.

That's funny, I too know a guy with a nordo L-2 who was intercepted in norcal for a similar infraction. Took a while to get the certificate back.

Got an email from the Alaska municipal something err other asking me to sign a letter to the president asking him to increase the sense of urgency over the global warming stuff. My official response was a vote to decrease this sense of urgency over an issue we as a country can not physically change ...zero net effect. The gal who sent the email to every municipality said she agreed...that not one mayor has signed the letter yet... So this glacier summit the president is attending.... Wonder how many knuckle heads from outside will be attending? Personally....I like a warmer Alaska...

Watch to see if AF1 makes a right turn onto final within the 6 mile 30 degree fan. Betcha its pilot wouldn't lose his certificate for even 10 seconds, although a couple of airline captains had theirs suspended.

Just feel lucky its only a day or two... O' has been vacationing here in MA for 3 weeks. His TFR over Martha's Vineyard has all but destroyed aviation on one of the most magical airstrips in the Eastern US - Katama.
