Alaska trip report

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Alaska trip report

Well, I'm sitting in Mackenzie, BC. On my way north. Left socal-ish area yesterday morning, made it to Bellingham, WA last night and cleared customs in Abbotsford this morning to wait for the weather to clear enough to continue on up the trench. Been dodging funky weather last the last two days lol.

Re: Alaska trip report

Made it to Whitehorse this evening, had to sit and wait in fort ware for a while. Finally cleared enough to get through. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days when I'm back home.

Re: Alaska trip report

I made it to Kodiak at about 830 pm yesterday. It felt like a long day, and I really learned a lot on this trip up. My total flight time up is around 28 hours according to the Hobbs (had to make a couple of detours). I only one very minor mechanical issue, that was fixed with local help scrounging up a part I needed to get me on my way.
It feels good to be back, glad I have something to fly while I'm up here now.

I thought I posted this last night, I must have been so tired I forgot to hit the submit button, or I posted in some other random thread lol
